First Aid

Custom Embroidery

If you have ever done any needlework, you know that it can be a painful experience if you aren’t careful. That said, with a little bit of practice and getting used to the feel of the needle in your hand, you won’t have a lot of pricks or sticks. It is always a good idea to have a basic first aid kit on hand. Here is a quick list of what to include:

-BandAids in multiple shapes and sizes. Definitely make sure you have some fingertip BandAids and the small circular BandAids—those ones will fit your injured fingers the best.

-Neosporin or another antibacterial cream. Needles used for needlework are sterilized like those in a medical office, so if you stick yourself with a needle while doing your needlework, make sure to use some Neosporin along with the BandAid.

And if you are not a fan of the pricks and sticks, take preventative measures—use a thimble! They were created for a reason and work wonders. Considering how you manipulate the needle in most forms of needlework, it is your thumbs that are most vulnerable. If you get a thimble that fits you well, you will get used to it and won’t even notice you are wearing it.
